Registry-style ceremonies by civil celebrants, not a government registry office. No fuss, no frills, no wedding. Just paperwork.

Get Married Quickly in Adelaide

The fastest legal way to get married in Adelaide is not to rush the ceremony. It is to get the paperwork right early.

For most couples, the real timing rule is the NOIM.

The main rule

Under Australian law:

  • the NOIM must be lodged at least one month before the marriage
  • it can be lodged up to 18 months before the marriage
  • the ceremony still has to happen in person

So the quickest path is not magic. It is good paperwork and a simple booking.

The fastest practical path

  1. Click Get Married and pay the fee.
  2. Complete your NOIM using NOIM Easy.
  3. Have the form witnessed and send in the supporting documents.
  4. Once the paperwork is received, we confirm the earliest available date, time, and place.
  5. Attend with two adult witnesses.

What slows couples down

The usual delays are:

  • leaving the NOIM too late
  • missing ID
  • waiting on divorce paperwork
  • untranslated overseas documents
  • not organising witnesses
  • assuming a date is confirmed before the paperwork arrives

Can we do it in less than one month?

Only sometimes.

If your situation genuinely fits one of the recognised categories in the Marriage Regulations, a prescribed authority may approve a shortening of time. That is never automatic and we cannot approve it ourselves.

Even when you want this done quickly:

  • we still need the NOIM
  • we still need the supporting documents
  • we still need to meet each party separately in person before the marriage
  • the ceremony still needs two adult witnesses and the legal words
